DataNet OPC provides an easy and
inexpensive way to display real-time industrial data on a
live Web page with absolutely no HTML programming required of its user.
To allow flexibility and to fit within the existing infrastructure,
DataNet OPC can be installed as a standalone Web server or as an
Internet Information Services (IIS) add-on.
DataNet
OPC Web Page
The
DataNet OPC software package makes
industrial data more accessible and more useful to those who need it to
make important decisions. It allows the user to monitor operational facilities
by displaying real-time data. It also keeps a log of stored data files,
which are available as downloads for historical purposes. The
DataNet OPC Web page is capable of displaying and logging an
unlimited amount of data from an unlimited number of
devices.

DataNet OPC displays industrial data conveniently on a Web page like
this one. Dynamic colors allow the user to quickly
determine whether or not plant operations are running normally.
To enable convenient and easy remote
configuration, a configuration facility is provided within the DataNet
OPC Web page. This enables the user to configure the page's display and
data-logging options from anywhere the Web is accessible.

OPC configuration page can be accessed with the click of a button, from
the main data-presentation page.
Configuring the DataNet OPC
Web page is quick and easy. No HTML programming knowledge is required of
the user. A security feature is included, which prevents any
unauthorized changes to the configuration by forcing the user to supply
a password in order to access the configuration facility.

The DataNet
OPC main configuration page allows the user to control the Web page's
display and data-logging options from anywhere the Web page is
accessible. A title can
be added to the DataNet OPC Web page, as well as to each individual row
of data.
DataNet
OPC displays data in an easy-to-read table format. By editing the column
configurations, the user can change the table's appearance by creating a
label, or by specifying the width, number of decimals and alignment of
the chosen column.

OPC column configuration page allows the user to control the Web page's appearance.
By editing
the page's row configurations, the DataNet OPC user can change the
source of the data that is to be displayed by editing the OPC server and
tags. Functional features, such as dynamic color display and a math
tool, also are accessible through the row configuration facility.

DataNet
OPC Server
The
DataNet OPC software package includes a Server application that runs as a
Microsoft Windows service. The Server communicates with an OPC server to
collect raw industrial data. DataNet OPC then translates the data into
useable information, displaying it conveniently on a Web page. The
DataNet OPC service runs on
its own whether or not anyone is logged-in on the Server PC. The user
does not need to be present to manually start the program each time the
computer is restarted.

DataNet OPC is equipped with an
easy-to-use graphical interface, which can be used to start, stop or
pause its services. It also provides a very simple way to install and
uninstall the service. This DataNet
OPC Server
